The Wan Tan Mee Craving

There is no denying that it is quite difficult to find good Wan Tan Mee nowadays.

I lucked out when I found this little gem in Kepong.

The Wan Tan Mee here is absolutely amazing. The noodles are springy and the Char Siew is thick and juicy. Noodles' on the sweet side which I like, and there is no boric acid smell. Accompanying the dish is the wan tan soup, which is peppery, and the shop is not stingy with the amount of wantans.

The little unique features that makes me want to go back to this shop are:

  1. Food is served in a nice plate which gives it a very hygienic feel

  2. Environment is quaint and pretty clean (this is very important to me)

  3. The people working there are polite to each other; there is no shouting at the foreign workers, and food is placed on the table respectfully (veryyyyyy important factor as well)

  4. The uncle working there (I think it's the owner) speaks English, easy for bananas like me to communicate

  5. Drinks here are not too bad too. I enjoyed Kopi-O and Teh Peng

The are other dishes available, and you can order food from the shop next door as well.

But for me, I am there for the Wan Tan Mee, and Wan Tan Mee will be all I ever want!

P.S: Ooh, did I mention that there is also a very pretty mural just right outside the shop? Perfect spot for a quick selfie! :)
