I am a Malaysian Chinese. And like a majority of Malaysian Chinese, I love Pan Mee.
However, I am quite particular about my Pan Mee.
I am partial to the dry version.
Hence, I need my Pan Mee to be:
Texture: Firm
Colour: Dark and shiny
Condiments: Mince meat, anchovies, fired shallots, scallions, lots and lots of mushrooms and fungus
Soup: Naturally flavourful
And so far, only one Aunty, has been able to consistently serve this quality since 1988.
Located in Maluri, Deli Lotus started as a stall and now she has her own stall.
Other than the super delicious Pan Mee, the owner is super friendly andddddddddddd she speaks English.
My family likes the soup version, while I always order the dry version.
Ok, price wise - is abit pricey. Right now (March 2021) - its RM9 per bowl.
But then, you leave satisfied after your meal.
So, I guess its a price I am willing to pay for.
